GOD is Love.

That is a biblical truth that encourages me daily and gives me generally good feelings. It is a major aspect of GOD, but it is easy to only focus on this aspect. We Love to be Loved. But what does GOD's Love mean? Our parents love us. Our friends love us. Our girlfriends love us. Our dogs love us.

But what is the difference between our parents, friends, etc. loving us and GOD Loving us?

To understand His Love and appreciate it fully, we must look further into GOD's character and just how magnificent He is. Watch the following video:

GOD is huge. His majesty can be seen throughout all of creation. His majesty goes even beyond the seemingly numberless amount of galaxies. Our GOD is the Α and the Ω of those uncountable galaxies. And even more than that, GOD has no Α or Ω. He is the One who WAS, IS, and IS TO COME. The universe is not even a speck in comparison to our Infinite GOD.

And we are not even a speck compared to the universe.

This got me thinking, who are we compared to GOD? By any form of human logic we are absolutely nothing next to GOD. But the crazy thing is that the GOD who we appear insignificant next to Loves you. Our Everlasting, Almighty, and Holy GOD knows you better than you know you and Loves you...

I do not know about you, but next to that i feel unworthy to worship Him. And for all intensive purposes i am unworthy. But GOD took care of that. As a sign of His Love, JESUS came to intercede for us. Jesus bridged the gap between us and our All Powerful GOD. GOD became an insignificant speck for you and me.

GOD's Love boggles my mind and, for lack of a better word, humbles me. i am grateful for His Love.

Sometimes we are so joyful and powered up for Jesus, and we try to share our excitement to everyone we encounter. We praise His name and worship for all He has given us. We feel so loved because we know we have a Father who only wants what's best for us, and cares deeply for everything that happens to us. As we carry this joy that's bursting to come out for everyone to experience what we are, there is always someone along your way who will put you down in some way or another. Whether it be a fellow brother or someone you barely had the acquaintance of meeting, it tends to bring your level of enthusiasm down, and you feel isolated and secluded because of the way they judged you. Although we will sometimes tend to give up and turn the other way and lock yourself into a place where you know there is only you and those who understand you, always know that you are blessed. Luke 6:22 says "Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man." It doesn't matter how many people judge you because of your faith, or because of your willingness to learn more and share about what Father has revealed to you, because you are doing what's right! God wants us to share that great and unconditional love that He has shared (and keeps sharing) to us to others. People will hate you, just like they hated Jesus. People will insult you right in front of your face, or in privacy with others, just the way they did to Jesus. People will reject you when you try to pour into their lives with the intention of building a relationship, just the way many people rejected Jesus from their lives; because they preferred to live the life they were living, inside their own little bubble scared of change. There is nothing wrong with being the way you are, bold for what you believe in and with the desire to share (whichever way you show that joy) to others. Always remember that the world hated Jesus before they hated you. That's part of carrying your cross daily, and something that God will reward you in the long run. I pray that we will all learn to accept one another, and come together as Christian brothers. That we may have the confidence and comfort to approach one another without worrying that they might judge firsthand. The more I read and learn, the more questions I have; and the more I realize how hard it is to live a Christian life. I know that I can't accomplish anything by myself, for I am not that strong. Fortunately we have the freedom to turn to God for help, that He may help us in our walk and live the life that His Son did here on earth. There is hope.

I love you all,

are we missing something?

> a little off the topic of gospels... but..

are we missing something?
how do we compare to Jesus' first generation of disciples..?

The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.  No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.  As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.  Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
Acts 5:12-16
